4th annual Meeting of the PMAWCA Harbour Masters Network will be held from 7th to 9th December 2017; Tema (Ghana)

Annual activity of the PMAWCA, 4th meeting of Harbour Masters will be held in Tema, Ghana, from 7th to 9th December 2017. 

The Network aims to foster inter port cooperation, and particularly the exchange of information and expertise in the field of the safety, security and efficiency of navigation within ports and territorial waters.

This year, 

The agenda of this 4th meeting of the Harbour Masters Network which also includes the PFSOs of the ISPS Code would cover the following items:
  1. EU’s MARENDA project on inter-port cooperation for ships’ data collection and sharing
  2. Port State Control inspection of ships;
  3. Collaborative efforts to eliminate the boarding of ships by stowaways - the example of Tema and Abidjan which would be adapted by other member ports;
  4. Update on implementation of the Cape Town meeting’s recommendations;
  5. Each Port’s experience on tariffs for marine services
  6. Each Port’s experience on the working conditions of harbour pilots;
  7. Each Port’s experience on latest issues on implementation of the ISPS Code.
Therefore, it's recommended that each member Port should nominate at least the Harbour Master and the PFSO to attend this important meeting.
